A few days ago, seven substations in Aksu area of Xinjiang, including 110kV Nancheng, Linyuan and Lantian, carried out the sealing transformation of outlet holes of cable pipelines. All of them adopted the sealing scheme of Shire pressure grip type, and achieved good results.

In October 2015, Xinjiang issued the "Implementation Opinions on Strengthening the Management of Urban Underground Pipeline Construction", requiring orderly improvement of urban power grid and overhead communication lines, and special treatment and transformation of power cable channels with major potential safety hazards such as collapse, fire and flooding.

Cable pipelines are basically installed underground, cold and humid, and the environment is more complex than that on the ground. At present, fire mud is mostly used to plug the outlet holes of cable pipelines. Fire mud is not resistant to cable bending, aging, cracking, poor sealing effect and easy to fall off in long-term operation. If encountering rain water immersion, insect and rat damage, it is easy to cause a large area of power outage, bringing many inconveniences to life; in addition, the use of traditional plugging, in the event of circuit failure, will cause great trouble to maintenance personnel.

The pressure-holding sealing service of Shirui cable pipeline outlet hole adopts double-layer sealing, the inner layer is blocking air bag, and the outer layer is blocking special glue. The structure is reasonable and the sealing is reliable. The inner sealing airbag is pressure-tight sealed, inflated 0.28MPa, rigid and flexible material, which can effectively resist the reaction force of cable bending and low-frequency vibration under cable working condition. The outer sealing special adhesive can prevent small animals from biting the airbag and other sharp objects from puncturing the airbag. At the same time, it has excellent waterproof, sealing, insulation, flame retardant and aging resistance performance, which further improves the sealing of the outlet hole of the cable pipe.

The successful application of pressure gripping sealing scheme for outlet hole of Shire cable pipeline in Aksu has a good demonstration effect for the operation and maintenance of power grid pipeline in Xinjiang.
